Questions
Is this real money?
No. Every account is an MT5 demo account with a virtual balance. Balances have no cash value and can't be withdrawn.
What does it cost?
Nothing during the beta. There's no card, deposit or entry fee.
Which platform do I trade on?
MetaTrader 5, on your phone or computer. You log in with the demo account details shown on your dashboard.
Who can participate?
Participation is subject to each season's eligibility requirements, including any age, country or account-provider restrictions. These requirements are published before registration. You must be 18 or over.
What are the trading rules?
Trade your way: no consistency rules, no daily drawdown limit and no one-sided trading rules. What does apply: only trades closed during the season count, you need at least 5 trading days, one entry per person, no deposits or balance changes, and no exploiting demo-server price errors or coordinating trades between accounts. Some seasons add an overall drawdown limit, shown on the season page before you join.
Are there any minimum trading days?
Yes, 5. A trading day is a calendar day (UTC) on which you open or close at least one trade. With fewer than 5 by the end of the season you aren't ranked.
What instruments can be traded?
Whatever the season's MT5 demo account offers. The list is published in each season's rules before entry opens, and it's the same for every trader in the season.
What is the leverage?
It's set by the season's MT5 demo account and shown in the season rules. Every trader in a season has the same leverage.
Are Expert Advisors allowed?
Yes, unless a season's rules say otherwise. Strategies that exploit demo-server price feed errors, such as latency arbitrage, aren't allowed.
How many traders are in a season?
Each season sets its own limit, shown on the season page with the spots left. Some seasons also need a minimum number of traders before they start.
Is there a limit on season entries?
One entry per person per season. You can enter as many different seasons as you like, including two running at the same time.
Can traders hide their display names?
Yes. Switch your display name off in your profile and the standings show your Pip Temple trader number instead (for example Trader #48213). Your email and MT5 login details are never shown.
How does the prize pool work?
There's no prize pool during the beta. Seasons are free to enter and winners are recognised with a place in the Hall of Fame and a verified results certificate.
How do prizes get paid?
There are no cash prizes during the beta. If prizes are introduced later, how they're awarded will be set out in the rules before any season that offers them.
Who can see my results?
Signed-in members see the standings with display names (or trader numbers) only. Your email and account details are never shown to other traders.
